In-Theatre Demos Featuring Eye Pilot and Tweetris

Toronto Underground Cinema (186 Spadina Avenue) at 9:30 am (Eye Pilot) and 11:15 am (Tweetris).

What if you could control a video game not with your fingers nor your body… but with your eyes? Eye Pilot, described as possibly the world’s first optically-controlled video game, is a collaboration between presented Damian Sommer and past keynote Craig Adams that attempts just this. See some of the fascinating technology and hear about the inspirations behind the game.

Then, catch Tweetris, a game that was a huge hit at Nuit Blanche this year. The game is a Kinect hack that puts a spin on the classic game Tetris by blending it with something like Hole In The Wall. You may want to stretch before you give this one a shot.

Theatre Panel Conversation: Getting Things Done

Toronto Underground Cinema (186 Spadina Avenue) at 10:15 am.

Every project inevitably faces obstacles. But what if we could see those limitations as an asset—as a resource for creativity? Our noted panelists including Metanet co-founder Mare Sheppard, Bigpants and TOJam co-founder Emilie McGinley, and University of Toronto professor Dr Sara M. Grimes as they discuss surmounting challenges, transforming ideas into innovation, and getting things done.
